After being away for so LONG, I've returned with a request for a handmade card especially for a special teacher who had just been diagnosed with the big C.

The first 3 words which came to mind were Faith, Hope & Love.

Hope that the card signed off by his fellow students will encourage him.

Hey there,

I know it's been a LONG while since my last post! Cannot believe that it has been more than a year since I started signed.sealed.delivered and I have come a long way since my very first attempt in cardmaking. :)

Am currently taking a break, as I am preparing for motherhood soon. :) But would definitely not let the passion for craft seep away. Will be back soon k! Am looking forward to picking up the scissors and glue again...hehehe...

Received an order for a cousin's wedding... Thought of the sweetest occasion one will ever experience - the bliss of 2 becoming 1, attempted to capture the sweetness in the following design.

To top it, a beautiful poem was sent by the recipient. (So thoughtful and sweet) And it took her a few days to come up with the content of the card - loads of love!

A request for a brother's birthday 35th birthday card. Listed bowling and food as favourite things.. a long thought and decided that bowling may be alittle more specific. X'mas Bazaar: Are you serious?!

Well this was my initial thought when I was first being asked to join in a bazaar.

Guess am just going to step out (would love to say faith) but feeling 'blindly'... :) Never try, never know, right? Here goes:

Will be displaying my handmade cards collection at Jaya 33's Christmas Bazaar from 7 - 13 December 2009 at 11am to 8pm (till 7pm on Sunday). Collection of mainly Christmas cards and special cutesy x'mas tags (stay tune)

Thanks to two of my friends, will be sharing the booth with one who sells amazing handmade and imported fashion jewelry and another whose creativity will wow you.

Purple Bunnies

After a much challenging week in creating a guy's card, I took so much pleasure in the next order which chose my very own favourite - PURPLE.

The challenge came when she requested for BUNNIES - had first thought of cute cutouts of the furry animal but could not decide on the montage, how do one arrange the bunnies and not look like an Easter Day card. So thought of this:

From dolphins to bunnies, am really happy to do something different from the usual flowery theme. Hope she will like this as her friend had thought of her favourite things. :)

A Child's Card

My cousin will be visiting a home for abandoned children this weekend and she thought of giving them each a personalised gift, packed especially for them. So I made in total 7 gift tags for the boys and 6 for the girls.

As I made them each different, and pasted the names of each kid on the card - I did think to myself how each of them are like; their appearance, character (would a star be appropriate or maybe a ribbonised-button would suit him/ her better).

But listening to my cousin's description of the home, there is one similarity for all of them, they were all deprived of a childhood. Instead of toys, they prefer necessities such as books, stationary and toiletries as gifts.

As for the girls' cards, it was definitely slightly easier as I added my sweet touch to it. :)

Above all, told my cousin to write encouraging words in the cards - my wish is for them to feel appreciated always!

A close friend asked me for a birthday card for a special friend (his first ever sealed and mailed birthday card). I was excited and keen to make it as beautiful as the recipient. :)

The only thing he requested for the card to be in different shades of blue and its' style is to be simple 'n' nice. Well, I hope she likes it and more importantly touched by his sincerity.

Do you remember this poem/ rhyme during your school days? Well, I remember jotting it down on autograph books when I was leaving std. 6 and moving on to high school.

Well, Friendships does not just exist during our childhood days.

Recently, a close friend asked me to come up with 4 'Thank You' cards for her friends at work. She is moving on to another place of work and would like to pen a little something for her close friends at work.

I hope these would put a smile on their faces. And more importantly, her special message would be touched by these wonderful 4 pals. :)

HOW IT ALL BEGIN?

It started off with a simple gift I made for my cousin's little girl, Hanna. Her desire of becoming a princess inspired me to do something really cute and princess-ey for her.

Bought her 3 starry hairclips as I recall her showing off her pink glass slippers. (remembering that moment always put a smile on my face :) )

Then I got kind of addicted to the task of beautifying a blank paper - and the final writing of a message simple enough for a 3-year old made it all worthwhile. She was such a gem on that day, a princess she is. :)
